The Wang research group at the University of Houston is seeking highly motivated applicants for 1 postdoc position (starting Fall 2025 or later). The projects will focus on developing protein-based materials and new biocatalytic systems for 1) the removal of micropollutants (e.g., PFAS), 2) the recovery of critical metals from waste streams, and 3) CO2 sequestration.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in environmental engineering, biochemistry, or a related field
Strong academic and publication record
Expertise in environmental chemistry and instrumental analysis (e.g., LC, LC/MS, GC)
Start Date: Flexible, preferably before January 2026
